Wolf T-shirt Design from a Supporter!

11/21/2015

One local wolf supporter contacted Wolf Matters recently to say that she wanted to incorporate helping wolves with her creative design school assignment. Naturally, we said yes - we love helping out!! This supporter wanted to design a special limited edition logo t-shirt for Wolf Matters. Below are the results and the t-shirts will be up for sale soon with all funds raised going towards our ongoing campaigns as well as new ones. So stay tuned!! Here is an explanation from our wolf supporting student about the inspiration behind this project and for wanting to help Wolf Matters:

"These t-shirts are inspired by the wolves of British Columbia and Alberta. It was my intention to raise awareness in regards to the brutality wolves are subjected to in Western North America in an approachable and interactive way. Focusing on the beauty and wonder the species contributes to Canada, the t-shirts represent a relationship of peace, love, unity, balance, and respect shared between wolves, humans and the environment."

Thank you so much and we love your passion for wolves!!

WOLF MATTERS & LUSH EVENT

11/8/2015

LUSH Market Mall in Calgary hosted a special event to introduce Wolf Matters as a Charity Pot Program Partner! About the charity pot program from LUSH website: "In 2007, we invented a beautiful hand and body lotion called Charity Pot. 100% of the purchase price (every single penny minus the taxes) goes towards supporting humanitarian, environmental and animal rights causes locally and around the world. Since its launch, Charity Pot has donated more than $10,000,000 to 850+ grassroots charities in 42 countries – and there are no signs of stopping! In fact, our new Charity Pot has been reformulated to contain seven ingredients from SLush Fund projects around the world. Our SLush mandate is simple: 2% of the amount we spend on raw materials and packaging is used to invest in sustainable farming and community projects from scratch."

Wolf Matters is thrilled to have such a partnership from an amazing ethically based company and because of LUSHs generosity, it will make helping wolves so much easier!! Thank you so much LUSH!

You can imagine that the WM charity pots were quite popular! Thank you to everyone who bought a WM Charity Pot and please check stores for more coming soon!

Check out Wolf Matters on the LUSH Charity Pot Page HERE!  The beautiful photo used on our Charity Pot design was generously donated by Myrna Pearman.

Wild Wolf Booklet Made Free to the Public from WildWolfPress.org

11/1/2015

WildWolfPress.org has created a booklet about Alberta wolves and the issues they face. They have made this booklet free to the public in hopes of raising awareness about the situation happening in Alberta and encouraging people take action in the form of signing the paper petition and writing/calling their MLAs. This booklet is available in numerous locations around the province and can also be downloaded on their website.

If you are interested in wolves and want to help, we highly recommend this booklet as it provides a lot of good information about the situation and issues that Wolf Matters and other organizations are advocating change for. It is a great resource to reference when writing your arguments in letters, etc.

Wolf Matters has been able to partially fund (thanks again to LUSH Cosmetics) a second print run of these amazing booklets as we believe they are such an important education tool for the public. Thank you to LUSH and to Wild Wolf Press for making these booklets possible!
